Positive Control: Smooth muscle cells of blood vessels and parenchymal tissue of intestine, testis, or ovary

Negative Control: Fibroblasts, striated muscle, or myocardium

Comments: Recognizes a-actin in smooth muscle cells of blood vessels and parenchymal tissue of the intestine, testis, and ovary. Does not recognize actin from fibroblasts (b- and g-cytoplasmic), striated muscle (a-sarcomeric), or myocardium (a-myocardial).
