Protein Kinase Ba Liquid. In 100 mM NaCl, 50 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM DTT, 50% glycerol, pH 8.5. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Recombinant, human Akt1 fused to a His•Tag® sequence and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. Highly active form of Akt1 suitable for phosphorylation of Akt substrates. Specific activity: ≥20,000 units/mg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will catalyze the transfer of 1.0 pmol phosphate to the peptide substrate RPRAATF per min at 30°C.
