PKBb, GST-Fusion Protein, Active, Human, Recombinant

Liquid. In 50 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM DTT, pH 7.5. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Recombinant, human Akt2 (amino acids 1-119) minus the PH domain fused to GST fusion at the N-terminus and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells using a baculovirus expression system. The recombinant protein is also expressed with S473D and T308E mutations. Akt2 is a serine/threonine kinase that is activated in response to various growth factors and is known to phosphorylate a number of downstream proteins. Specific activity: ≥ 45 units/µg. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will catalyze the transfer of 1.0 pmol phosphate to Crosstide per min at 30°C. Purity: >80% by SDS-PAGE.
