3-Formylchromone thiosemicarbazone, Cu(II)Cl2 Complex
FPA-124

Green solid. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. PACKAGED UNDER INERT GAS. A cell-permeable copper complex (Cu2+/Cu+ redox couple in the range of +0.28 to +0.35 V) that interacts with both the PH and the kinase domains of Akt and potently inhibits its kinase activity (IC50 = 100 nM). Inhibits tumor growth both in cultured cells in vitro (IC50 ranges from 10 to 34 µM) and in mice in vivo (25 mg/kg, iv) without any apparent adverse effect to the animals. Purity: ≥98% by Elemental Analysis.
