APN/CD13 Inhibitor 2′,3-Dinitroflavone-8-acetic acid 3-Nitro-2-(2-nitrophenyl)-4-oxo-4H-1-benzopyran-8-acetic acid Off-white solid. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. PACKAGED UNDER INERT GAS. A dinitroflavone compound that acts as a selective, reversible, and competitive inhibitor of aminopeptidase N (APN/CD13; IC50 = 25 µM in U937 cells). Displays ~2-3 fold lower inhibition potency than Bestatin (Cat. No. 200484), but is not cytotoxic. Does not induce apoptosis, and only weakly affects the activities of MMP-9, angiotensin converting enzyme, neural endopeptidase, g-glutamyl transpeptidase, DPPIV, and cathepsin-G even at concentrations as high as 1 mM. Purity: ≥98% by HPLC. Ref.: Bauvois, B., et al. 2003. J. Med. Chem. 46, 3900. |
