APN/CD13, Aminopeptidase N

Liquid. In 150 mM NaCl, 50 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM CaCl2, pH 8.0. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Native aminopeptidase N purified from human serum. Aminopeptidase N is a single-chain, integral membrane protease with broad specificity that functions to remove N-terminal amino acids from peptides. It also acts as a receptor for coronavirus and is known to play a role in angiogenesis, HIV entry, and in degradation of extracellular matrix as a result of tumor invasion. Specific activity: ≥450 mU/mg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will hydrolyze 1.0 µmol L-leucine-p-nitroanilide) per min at 37°C, pH 7.2. Purity: ≥92% by SDS-PAGE. Prepared from human serum that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV. EC 3.4.11.2.
