Anthrax LF Protease Substrate II, Colorimetric Bacillus anthracis LF Protease Substrate II, Colorimetric Lyophilized. Supplied as a trifluoroacetate salt. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. HYGROSCOPIC. PACKAGED UNDER INERT GAS. An N-acetylated, C-p-nitroanilide (pNA) derivative of a 14-mer peptide substrate designed from the MEK-2 template that is useful for measuring Anthrax lethal factor (LF) metalloproteolytic activity with a detection limit of ~100 pM. The release of pNA is monitored by recording the absorption at ~405 nm (e405 = 9,920 M-1cm-1). Reported to be useful for high-throughput screening of LF inhibitors. Purity: ≥97% by HPLC. Ac-Gly-Tyr-bAla-Arg-Arg-Arg-Arg-Arg-Arg-Arg-Arg-Val-Leu-Arg-pNA Ref.: Tonello, F., et al. 2003. J. Biol. Chem. 278, (In press) Tonello, F., et. al. 2002. Nature 418, 386. |
