Apo C-II Lyophilized. Lyophilized from 10 mM NH4HCO3, pH 7.4. Native apolipoprotein C-II from human plasma. Found primarily in VLDL and chylomicrons. Functions as a cofactor for lipoprotein lipase. Elevated serum levels of Apo C-II are common in type I, III, IV, and V hyperlipoproteinemia. Low serum concentrations of Apo C-II are indicative of nephrotic syndrome (Tangier’s Disease). Purity: ≥95% by SDS-PAGE. Prepared from plasma that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.
