White solid. HYGROSCOPIC. Toxic compound originally isolated from the Mediterranean thistle Atractylis gummifera. Acts as an ADP/ATP translocase (AAT) inhibitor. Also causes the release of cytochrome c from mitochondria. Purity: ≥95% by TLC. RTECS CJ9435000, CAS 102130-43-8.
