5-Bromo-4-chloro-3-indolylphosphate/Tetranitroblue Tetrazolium

Clear, pale orange solution. 0.452 mM BCIP, 0.432 mM TNBT in a proprietary solvent containing non-toxic stabilizers. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. Substrate of choice for alkaline phosphatase band assays. Also used in immunohistochemical and in situ hybridization applications. Useful for detection of multiple alkaline phosphatase probes when used in conjunction with BCIP/NBT. TNBT-formazan also produces more discrete immunohistochemical localizations than NBT.
