CaM Kinase II Inhibitor 281-309
MHRQETVDCLKKFNARRKLKGAILTTMLA-OH

Lyophilized solid. Supplied as a trifluoroacetate salt. HYGROSCOPIC. A synthetic peptide that contains the CaM-binding, inhibitory, and autophosphorylation domains of CaM kinase II. Can be phosphorylated at Thr286 by PKC. Useful as a calmodulin binding peptide. Inhibits CaM kinase II (IC50 = 80 nM) by blocking Ca2+/calmodulin activation and enzyme active site (IC50 = 2 µM). Purity: ≥97% by HPLC. Sold on the basis of peptide content.
