Mch3 Lyophilized. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Recombinant, human caspase-7 fused at the N- and C- termini to a His•Tag® sequence and expressed in E. coli as a single polypeptide. Subsequently undergoes spontaneous autoprocessing to yield the active enzyme. Useful for the study of enzyme regulation and kinetics, cleavage of target substrates, and inhibitor screening. MW: 12000 and 20000. Specific activity: ≥15,000 units/mg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will cleave 1 nmol of Ac-DEVD-pNA (Cat. No. 235400) per hour at 37°C, pH 7.2.
