Liquid. In 250 mM NaCl, 50 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM DTT, 50 µM EDTA, 50% glycerol, 0.05% NP-40, pH 7.5. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Full length, recombinant, human Chk1 fused to a His•Tag^® sequence and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. Chk1 is a Serine/Threonine kinase that regulates cell cycle progression. It has been reported that DNA damage results in an increase in activity and phosphorylation of Chk1. Specific activity: ≥500 units/mg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will transfer 1.0 nmol phosphate to Chk1 substrate (KKKVSRSGLYRSPSMPENLNRPR) per min at 30°C, pH 7.5 Purity: ≥90% by SDS-PAGE. EC 2.7.1.
