5-Diethoxyphosphoryl-5-methyl-1-pyrroline-N-oxide

Liquid. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. HYGROSCOPIC. PACKAGED UNDER INERT GAS. An analog of the commonly-used spin trap DMPO. However, unlike DMPO, DEPMPO can trap and stabilize both the hydroxyl radical (OH) as (OH) DEPMPO and the superoxide radical anion (O2) as (O2)DEPMPO providing characteristic ESR spectra. Thus, unlike DMPO, DEPMPO can distinguish between superoxide-dependent and independent mechanisms that lead to the production of hydroxyl radicals. DEPMPO also traps and provides spectra characteristic of S-centered radicals, such as the glutathionyl radical anion. Purity: ≥99% by HPLC. CAS 157230-67-6.
