Dibutyryl-cAMP, Na

White lyophilized solid. HYGROSCOPIC. A cell-permeable cAMP analog that preferentially activates cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA). Causes an increase in the steady state level of parathyroid hormone-related peptide mRNA. Also acts as a Hh pathway antagonist. Shown to induce apoptosis in vascular smooth muscle cells. Purity: ≥95% by HPLC. RTECS ES5055500, CAS 16980-89-5.
