CD26 DPPIV Lyophilized. Lyophilized from 2 mM Tris buffer, pH 8.0 AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Native DPP-IV purified from human placenta. DPP-IV is a serine exopeptidase dimer composed of two identical subunits of 110-130 kDa. DPP-IV is involved in many cellular processes such as activation of cytokines, differentiation, and cell-matrix interactions. Inhibition of DPP-IV has been reported to be an effective treatment for type II diabetes. MW: ~220000-260000 (unreduced) Specific activity: ≥10 U/mg. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will hydrolyze 1 µmole H-Gly-Pro-pNA per min at room temperature, pH 8.0. Purity: ≥95% by SDS-PAGE. Prepared from tissue that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV-1, HIV-2, HBsAg, and HCV. EC 3.4.14.5. Note: 1 MIU = 1 milliunit.
