Liquid. In 100 mM NaCl, 50 mM Tris-HCl, 5 mM DTT, 4 mM reduced glutathione, 20% glycerol. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Recombinant, human JAK3 fused at the N-termiunus to a GST-His₆-thrombin cleavage site sequence and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells using a baculovirus expression system. JAK3 is a member of the Janus family of tyrosine kinases and plays an important role in signal transduction and interacts with members of the STAT (signal transduction and activators of transcription) family. Specific activity: ≥6.0 U/mg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme required to transfer 1 nmol phosphate to R₁₁-TRK-C-derived peptide (R₁₁-VYSTDYYRLFNPS) per min at 30°C using variable concentrations of ATP (0.1-1.11 µM).
