FL Lyophilized. Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered 35% acetonitrile, 0.1% TFA, 50 µg BSA/µg Flt3. Recombinant, human Flt-3/Flk-2 ligand expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. Stimulates the proliferation of hematopoietic cells by binding and activating Flt-3/Flk-2 receptor tyrosine kinase. Induces proliferation of primitive haematopoietic cells in conjunction with other growth factors. Amino acid sequence reveals human and mouse FL are 72% identical. Shares structural similarities with SCF and M-CSF. Biological activity: ED50 = 0.5-1.0 ng/ml as measured by its capacity to stimulate the proliferation of a Flt3-transfected pro-B cell line..
