FL Lyophilized. Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered solution, 50 µg BSA/µg FL. Recombinant, mouse Flt-3/Flk-2 ligand expressed in NSO cells. Binds and activates Flt-3/Flk-2 receptor tyrosine kinase. Has been shown to stimulate the growth of mouse and human hematopoietic progenitor cells. Amino acid sequence reveals human and mouse FL are 72% identical. Shares structural similarities with SCF and M-CSF. AVOID FREEZE-THAW CYCLE. Biological activity: ED50 = 4-8 ng/ml as measured by its ability to stimulate the proliferation of a FL-transfected pro-B cell line. Purity: ≥97% by SDS-PAGE. Contaminants: Endotoxin: ≤100 pg/µg FL.
