7-Hydroxy-3-(4′-methoxyphenyl)-4H-benzopyran-4-one

Off-white solid. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. PACKAGED UNDER INERT GAS. A phytoestrogenic isoflavone found in soy-based foods. Displays potent antioxidant properties and acts as a selective inhibitor of the g-isoform of alcohol dehydrogenase. Shown to interact with human estrogen receptors with low potency. Induces mammary gland proliferation in mice. Purity: ≥90% by HPLC. CAS 485-72-3.
