Amorphous orange solid. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. PACKAGED UNDER INERT GAS. A cell-permeable caspase activator and an apoptosis inducer that was originally isolated from gamboge resin for its antimicrobial properties. Shown to inhibit the growth of HeLa and HEL cells minimal inhibitory concentrations (MIC = 12.5 µg/ml). Purity: ≥95% by TLC. RTECS PB9268200, CAS 2752-65-0.
