N-(3-Cyano-6-(1,1-dimethylpropyl)-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1-benzothien-2-yl)-4-bromobenzamide
hGCGR Antagonist, Control

Light yellow solid. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. PACKAGED UNDER INERT GAS. A cell-permeable thienyl-amide compound that serves as an inactive control for Glucagon Receptor Antagonist (Cat. No. 346001). Displays weak affinity to hGCGR and is ineffective in preventing glucagon binding (20% inhibition at 10 µM in membranes prepared from CHO-hGCGR) and glucagon-, forskolin-, and GIP-induced cAMP production (10% inhibition in CHO-hGCGR cells). Only minimally suppresses glucagon-induced glycogenolysis in human primary hepatocytes. Purity: ≥95% by HPLC. CAS 362482-00-6.
