2-((4-Acetoxyphenyl)-2-chloro-N-methyl)ethylammonium chloride

White solid. PROTECT FROM MOISTURE. A cell-permeable aziridine precursor that acts as a nonsteroidal glucocorticoid receptor (GR, Cat. No. 346100) ligand with a binding affinity that is 4-fold higher than that of Dexamethasone (DEX, Cat. No. 265005). Induces GR nuclear translocation and selectively activates GR-mediated transrepression of the NF-kB-dependent production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Unlike DEX, CpdA exhibits no effect on GRE- (glucocorticoid response element) driven gene expression. Reported to be as effective as DEX in suppressing acute inflammation in mice in vivo without the hyperglycemic side effect that is commonly associated with DEX. Purity: ≥97% by HPLC.
