White solid. HYGROSCOPIC. Preservative-free, non-sterile. Highly sulfated dextrorotatory mucopolysaccharide with specific anticoagulant properties. Inhibits the IP3-activated Ca2+ release channel of the endoplasmic reticulum. Reported to activate the ryanodine receptor. Activity: ≥140 USP units/mg dry weight. RTECS MI0700000, CAS 9045-22-1. M.W. 13,500-15,000. Note: 1 KU = 1000 units.
