HDAC7, Human, Recombinant Liquid. In 138 mM NaCl, 25 mM Tris-HCl, 0.05% TWEEN®-20 detergent, 10% glycerol, pH 8.0. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Recombinant, human histone deacetylase 7 ( HDAC7) consisting of amino acids 518 to the C-terminus fused at the N-terminus to GST and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells using a baculovirus expression system. HDAC7 is a class II histone deacetylase highly expressed in CD4+CD8+ double-positive thymocytes where it regulates apoptosis. The active deacetylase is useful in the study of HDAC7 regulation and for inhibitor screening. Specific activity: ≥1 unit/µg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme required to deacetlyate 1 pmol fluorescent peptide substrate [Arg-His-Lys-Lys(Ac)], per min at 30°C. Purity: ≥70% by SDS-PAGE. Ref.: Chakraborty, S., 2006.
