Exhibits very strong ligand binding affinity (Ki = 23.4 nM) for the Ins(1,4,5)P3 receptor of bovine adrenal cortex membranes and acts as a strong agonist (EC50 = 155.7 nM) in releasing calcium from saponin-permeabilized SH-SY5Y human neuroblastoma cells.
