D-myo-Inositol 1,4,5-Trisphosphate, P4(5)-1-(2-Nitrophenyl)ethyl Ester, 3Na

Off-white solid. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. PROTECT FROM MOISTURE. Photolabile derivative of Ins(1,4,5)P3 that is not biologically active and is not metabolized by endogenous phosphatase. A mixture of two isomers with a cage present on either the 4 or 5 position. Can be selectively released by irradiation with a short pulse of light of about 360 nm to produce a concentration jump of Ins(1,4,5)P3. Purity: ≥90% by HPLC. Extinction coefficient (265 nm, H2O): 4240 M-1cm-1. Note: 1 set = 10 x 10 µg.
