One unit of interferon per ml of medium will cause a 50% inhibition of EMCV-induced cytopathic effect on mouse L929 cells. Units are determined with respect to the NIH international reference standard for mouse IFN-g. Purity: ≥95% by SDS-PAGE. Note: 1 KU = 1000 units.
