Lyophilized. Carrier-free. Recombinant, mouse interleukin-12 expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. Pleiotropic cytokine that is produced by monocytes/macrophages, B cells, and connective tissue type mast cells. Also known as natural killer cell stimulatory factor and cytotoxic lymphocyte maturation factor. Biological activity: ED₅₀ = 0.01-0.05 ng/ml as determined by the dose-dependent secretion of IFN-g from PHA- and IL-2-activated mouse splenocytes that have been co-stimulated with PMA..
