rhKGF Lyophilized. Lyophilized from sterile-filtered PBS, 50 µg BSA/µg KGF. Recombinant, human Keratinocyte growth factor expressed in E. coli. An epithelial cell-specific mitogen. KGF binding to its receptor is blocked by Suramin (Cat. No. 574625). Thought to mediate the hypothesized mesenchyme-driven proliferation of normal epithelial cells. Biological activity: ED50 = 15-25 ng/ml as measured by its ability to stimulate the proliferation of a monkey epithelial cell line, 4MBr-5. Purity: ≥97% by SDS-PAGE.
