DANSYL-PLA-C(OMeBz)-WAR-NH2
MT1-MMP Substrate II, Fluorogenic

Yellow lyophilized solid. Supplied as a trifluoroacetate salt. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. PACKAGED UNDER INERT GAS. A specific fluoresence resonance energy transfer (FRET) peptide substrate for the detection of MMP activity. [kcat/Km = 1.59 x 106 M-1s-1 for MMP-14 (MT-1-MMP) and 1.67 x 104 M-1s-1 for MMP-11 (ST3), pH = 7.5 at 25°C; kcat/Km = 7.0 x 105 M-1s-1 for MMP-14 (MT-1-MMP), 1.5 x 104 M-1s-1 for MMP-11, 8.8 x 103 M-1s-1 for MMP-1, and 5.0 x 103 M-1s-1 for MMP-7; pH = 6.8 at 25°C]. In this substrate replacement of leucine by p-OMeBz cysteine increases kcat/Km by a factor of 37 for MT1-MMP, and by a factor of 9 for MMP-11. Purity: ≥97% by HPLC. Excitation max.: ~280 nm, Emission max.: ~340 nm
