Retro-Inverso p53C′ Peptide, D-isomer RI-TATp53C′-WT, D-isomer RRRQRRKKRGY-G-KKHRSTSQGKKSKLHSSHARSG White lyophilized solid. Supplied as a trifluoroacetate salt. HYGROSCOPIC. PACKAGED UNDER INERT GAS. A cell-permeable and proteolytically stable p53-activating peptide that displays antitumor properties. Activates p53-dependent gene transcription and inhibits tumor cell proliferation in a p53-dependent manner, while exhibiting no effect on the proliferation of normal cells expressing wild-type p53. Shown to be effective in suppressing tumor growth in several murine cancer models in vivo. The functional half-life of this peptide has been estimated to be greater than 7 days in murine TA3/St mammary carcinoma cells. Purity: ≥95% by HPLC.
