Recombinant, human, wild-type p53 fused to a His•Tag® sequence and expressed in S. frugiperda insects cells using a baculovirus expression system. p53 has been shown as a tumor suppressor by its ability to block the transformation and to inhibit tumor cell growth. Different mutations in p53 gene have been characterized in many human cancers. Loss or mutation of p53 function is highly correlated with tumorigenesis. Activity: 1 unit/ng protein.
