Liquid. In 200 mM NaCl, 50 mM HEPES, 1 mM DTT, pH 8.0. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Native, rabbit PA28 activator. Mixture of two homologous subunits (a and b) that stimulates the 20S proteasome. PA28 also contains a protein known as PA28g of undefined function. Enhances hydrolysis of peptide substrates by the proteasome (peptidase activity) but not its ability to degrade ubiquitinated proteins. Also modulates the antigen processing function of proteasome. Biological activity: Fully functional as measured using Z-Leu-Leu-Val-Tyr-AMC (Cat. No. 539142) as the substrate. Purity: ≥95% by SDS-PAGE.
