3-Phosphoinositide-Dependent Protein Kinase-1

Liquid. In 100 mM NaCl, 50 mM Tris-HCl, 5 mM DTT, 500 µM EDTA, 500 µM EGTA, 20% glycerol, 0.05% TRITON® X-100 Detergent, pH 7.5. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Full length, recombinant, human PDK1 fused to a His•Tag® sequence and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. PDK1 is a serine/threonine protein kinase that is localized to the plasma membrane. PDK1 activates conventional protein kinase C (PKC) as well as PKCz. PDK1 also phosphorylates Akt and plays a role in insulin signaling. Specific activity: ≥80 units/mg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will transfer 1 nmol of phosphate to PDK1 substrate per min at 30°C, pH 7.5. Purity: ≥90% by SDS-PAGE. EC 2.7.10.
