Lyophilized. HYGROSCOPIC. PACKAGED UNDER INERT GAS. Belongs to a group of amphipathic zwitterionic polymers called "amphipols" that may serve as a vehicle for delivering complex integral membrane proteins into membranes. PMAL-B-100 is capable of both solubilizing an integral membrane protein such as diacylglycerol kinase (DAGK) as well as supporting full catalytic activation of this enzyme in the absence of additional lipids and/or detergents. Contaminants: Absorbance (0.1% solution in H2O): 340 nm <0.1; 280 nm <0.3; 260 nm <0.5 . Ref.: Popot, J.L., et al. 2003. Cell. Mol. Life Sci. 60, 1559. Gorzelle, B.M., et al. 2002. J. Am. Chem.
