A cell-permeable presenilin 1 (PS1) C-terminus 15-residue peptide fused to the protein transduction domain (PTD) of Antennapedia homeodomain. PS1-C15 acts as an activator of Omi/HtrA2 protease activity, binds to the PDZ domain of Omi/HtrA2, and increases its proteolytic activity towards inhibitor of apoptosis proteins (IAPs) and b-casein. Shown to induce cell death in an Omi/HtrA2-dependent manner in 293T, MCF-7 and mnd2-Omi/HtrA2 cells. Purity: ≥95% by HPLC.
