Protein Kinase C

Liquid. 150 mM NaCl, 50 mM Tris-HCl, 0.25 mM DTT, 0.1 mM EDTA, 0.1 mM EGTA, 0.1 mM PMSF, 25% glycerol, pH 7.5. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Full-length, recombinant, human, PKCn (accession number = NM_005813) fused at the N-terminus to GST and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells using a baculovirus expression system. PKCi is a member of the protein kinase C family and plays an important role in cellular differentiation and proliferation. Specific activity: ≥67 nmol/min/mg protein. Kinase activity is measured as the molar amount of phosphate incorporated into CREBtide substrate peptide using a final concentration of 50 µM ATP (0.83 µCi/assay), 30°C. Purity: ≥80% by SDS-PAGE.
