Checkpoint Signaling and DNA Repair Interactive Pathway
  RAD51, His•Tag®, Human, Recombinant, E. coli
Cat. No. 553504
All Categories » Calbiochem » Proteins and Enzymes » Recombinases

Liquid. In 100 mM KCl, 20 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM DTT, 0.2 mM EDTA, 20% glycerol, pH 8.0. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Recombinant, human RAD51 fused at the N-terminus to a His•Tag® sequence and expressed in E. coli. The human RAD51 is a mammalian homologue of yeast RAD51 and bacterial RecA and plays a pivotal role in the homologous recombination pathway for DNA double-strand break (DSB) repair. RAD51 has been shown to colocalize with tumor suppressor proteins BRCA1 (Cat. No. 203659) and BRCA2 in DNA-damage-induced foci and RAD51 is known to interact directly with BRCA2. One unit equals 1 ng of purified protein. 20 units are sufficient for a DNA-protein assay and 100 units are sufficient for a protein-protein interaction assay. Purity: ≥95% by SDS-PAGE.
