Succinimidyl 3-(2-pyridyldithio)propionate Off-white solid. A heterobifunctional cross-linker. Reagent similar to SATA, useful for introducing protected thiol groups into a variety of proteins. Treatment with DTT releases the chromophore 2-pyridylthione and a mercaptopropionyl-modified amine. This thiolated biomolecule can then be coupled to a second biomolecule through an iodoacetamide or maleimide group. In addition, the thiolated biomolecule can be reacted with a second pyridyldisulfide-containing biomolecule. Purity: ≥97% by HPLC. CAS 68181-17-9. Ref.: Vallera, D.A., et al. 1997. J. Immunol.
