21-(4-(2,6 Di-1-pyrrolidinyl-4-pyrimidinyl)-1-piperazinyl)-pregna-1,4,9(11)-triene-3,20-dione White solid. HYGROSCOPIC. A highly lipid-soluble 21-aminosteroid (lazaroid) inhibitor of lipid peroxidation. Reported to inhibit lipid peroxidation in a variety of systems including cultured brain microvessel endothelial cells, Cu2+-treated monocytic THP1 cells and LLC-PK1 cell layers where it blocks F2-isoprostane production.
