[4-Chloro-6-(2,3-xylidino)-2-pyrimidinylthio]acetic Acid

White crystalline solid. One of the most potent peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor a (PPARa) ligands. Inhibits TNF-a induced expression of VCAM-1 in endothelial cells. A hepatocarcinogen and tumor promoter. Also acts as a potent anti-hypercholesterolemic agent. Purity: ≥98% by HPLC. RTECS AG2915000, CAS 50892-23-4.
