The ProteoExtract® S-PEK™ Antibody Control Kit is a set of four monoclonal antibodies that recognize proteins specific for each of the four sub-cellular fractions obtained with the ProteoExtract Subcellular Proteome Extraction Kit (S-PEK). These antibodies can be used in Western blot procedures to confirm proper sub-fractionation of cellular proteomes. The kit provides 15 mg/vial each of the following antibodies: Anti-HSP 90, Anti-Vimentin, Anti-Calnexin, Anti-PARP. HSP90 protein is a marker for the cytosolic fraction, Calnexin is a trans-membrane protein, PARP is a nuclear protein, and Vimentin is an intermediate filament protein found in the cytoskeleton. Due to the specificity of Anti-HSP 90 and Anti-Vimentin antibodies, we recommend to use this kit with cellular fractions obtained from human-derived cell lines and tissues.
