hFSH

Lyophilized solid. Native, human follicle stimulating hormone from pituitary gland. Two-chain glycoprotein gonadotropic hormone that induces maturation of the Graafian follicles of the ovary. Promotes the development of germinal cells in males. FSH regulates Sertoli cells by acting on G-protein-linked cell surface FSH receptors. Activates cytosolic soluble protein tyrosine kinase (CyPTk). Immunopotency: ≥2000 IU/mg (WHO 1st IRP 69/104). Activity: ≥2000 IU/mg (WHO 1st IRP 69/104 standard). Purity: ≥90%. Contaminants: hLH, hTSH: ≤0.5%; hCG: ≤0.1%. Prepared from tissue of individuals that have been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV. pI 4.1. RTECS LP6330000, CAS 9002-68-0.
