| | PhosphoDetect™ Anti-Insulin Receptor (pTyr972) Rabbit pAb | | | Cat. No. GF1000 | |
Anti-IR, Phospho-Specific (Tyr972) | Note: 1T = 1 test. Sufficient for 10 Western miniblots. | | Host: Rabbit | | Isotype: IgG | | Immunogen: a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acids surrounding the Tyr972 phosphorylation site of human IR | | Form: Liquid | | Formulation: In phosphate buffer (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.2-7.4, 1 mg/ml BSA, 50% glycerol. | | Preservative: ≤0.1% sodium azide | | Positive Control: 3T3-L1 cells stimulated with insulin or CHO-T cells transfected with human insulin receptor and stimulated with insulin | | Comments: Recognizes the ~95 kDa b-subunit of the insulin receptor protein phosphorylated at Tyr972. This phosphorylation site is alternatively numbered Tyr960 in some references. | | Ref.: Le, M.N., et al. 2002. Mol. Endocrinol. 16, 2764. Bevan, P. 2001. J. Cell Sci. 114, 1429. * Additional Product Information
Detection of human insulin receptor (IR), phosphorylated at Tyr972, by immunoblotting. Samples: Whole cell lysate from CHO-T cells transfected with human insulin receptor and left unstimulated (lane 1) or stimulated with insulin (50 nM for 5 min; lanes 2-5). Primary antibody: PhosphoDetect™ Anti-Insulin Receptor (pTyr972) Rabbit pAb (Cat. No. GF1000) (1:1000) pre-incubated without peptide (lanes 1,2), with non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphopeptide immunogen (lane 3), a generic phosphotyrosine-containing peptide (lane 4), or the phosphopeptide immunogen (lane 5). Detection: chemiluminescence.
