Detection of rat vanilloid-receptor-like protein 1 by immunoblotting. Sample: Whole tissue extract from rat spinal cord pre-incubated without peptide (lane 1) or with control peptide (25 µg/ml, lane 2). Primary antibody: Anti-Vanilloid Receptor Like Protein-1 (744-761) Rabbit pAb (Cat. No. PC421) (2 µg/ml). Detection: chemiluminescence.
Detection of mouse vanilloid-receptor-like protein 1 by staining frozen sections. Sample: Mouse spinal cord dorsal horn fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde. Primary antibody: Anti-Vanilloid Receptor Like Protein-1 (744-761) Rabbit pAb (Cat. No. PC421) (1 µg/ml). Staining was completely abolished by preincubating the purified antibody with control peptide at 10-6 M (data not shown).
