Glial Derived Neurotrophic Factor Lyophilized. Lyophilized from 35% Acetonitrile, 0.1% TFA, 50 µg BSA/µg GDNF. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Recombinant, rat glial derived neurotrophic factor expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. Native GDNF exists as a disulfide homodimeric glycoprotein and is a novel member of the TGF-b superfamily. Titrate the protein for optimal results in individual systems. Immbolized rrGFRa/Fc at 2 µg/ml (100 µl/neu) can bind GDNF at a linear range of 0.1-10 ng/ml. Biological activity: ED50 = 1-3 ng/ml as measured by the ability to support the survival and stimulate neurite outgrowth of cultured embryonic chick dorsal root ganglia.
