Kuzbanian Metalloproteinase

Lyophilized. Lyophilized from a filtered solution of 100 mM NaCl, 25 mM MES, 10 µM ZnCl₂, 0.02% BRIJ^®-35 Detergent, pH 5.5. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Recombinant, mouse ADAM10 (mature, active mouse ADAM10 ectodomain; amino acids 19-673) fused to a His•Tag^® sequence and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. An integral membrane proteinase involved in notch signaling. Also considered as an a-secretase candidate. Activity: ≥5 pmol/min/µg as measured by the cleavage of 10 µM of the fluorescent substrate MCA-Pro-Leu-Ala-Gln-Ala-Val-Dpa-Arg-Ser-Ser-Ser-Arg-NH₂ (Cat. No. 616402) by 100 ng of the enzyme in 100 µl of reaction buffer at 37°C.. Specific activity: ≥5 pmol/min/µg. Purity: ≥90% by SDS-PAGE. Contaminants: Endotoxin: ≤1 EU/µg ADAM10.
