Insulin-Like Growth Factor Binding Protein-3

Lyophilized. Lyophilized from 30% Acetonitrile, 0.1% TFA. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Recombinant, human IGFBP-3 expressed in NSO cells. Contains the mature IGFBP-3 fused to the signal peptide of CD33 and expressed in the mouse myeloma cell line, NSO. IGFBP-3 is a negative regulator of cell growth and proliferation and can be induced by TNF-a and p53. IGFBP-3 may induce apoptosis through the serine phosphorylation of Bcl-2, which results in Bcl-2 inactivation. Biological activity: ED₅₀ approximately 0.05-0.15 µg/ml for the inhibition of the biological effect of 14 ng/ml recombinant IGF-II. Purity: ≥95% by SDS-PAGE.
