Graph. Caspase-3 activity of rat splenocytes stimulated with T cell mitogens concanavalin A (Con A) (Cat. No. 234567), phytohemagglutinin (PHA), and Phorbol Myristate Acetate (Cat. No. 524400) + Calcium Ionophore (Cat. No. 401952) (PMA/Ion). Fresh isolated rat splenocytes were treated with T cell mitogens and caspase-3 activity was determined at the indicated time points. For the first 24 hours, there was little change in caspase-3 activity. At the 48-hour time point, caspase-3 activity of Con A-stimulated splenocytes started to dramatically increase while the caspase activity of the splenocytes stimulated by the other two mitogens decreased.
